Butt shot describes a close-up, cropped view of a character's butt, usually also showing the thighs and lower back.

A butt shot usually fills the entire image, but it can be shown using a smaller cutaway panel in a larger image, a single panel in a comic, or as an angle in an animation.

Notes
A butt shot can range from just an image of the character's buttocks alone, to showing their thighs and some of their upper body
A butt shot should not show the character's entire lower body or entire upper body
Depending on pose and angle, a character's upper back or shoulders may be seen
A butt shot should not depict the character's head in the same shot as their butt
The character's face may be shown in a cutaway panel, or a second shot showing a different angle
If the character's head is visible in the same shot, the post should be probably tagged as butt focus instead

Butt focus depicts most, or all, of a character, in a way that focuses on their butt through pose, angles or lighting.
If most of the character is visible, especially their head, the image is butt focus, not butt shot.

"Butt pose" describes a character viewed from behind, with their upper body turned back towards the viewer.

Rear View

Rear view simply describes a character viewed from behind, as opposed to a front view. While this tag doesn't imply any focus or pose by itself, butt shot, butt pose, and butt focus images all almost inherently involve a rear view, but there are some exceptions.
