If you're sipping on a cherry-flavored decaf thinking you're caffeine-free, think again.
The FDA has just dropped a recall that’s got coffee lovers double-checking their morning brew.
On March 25, the FDA issued a Class II recall on coffee produced by Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA—a major supplier for U.S. retailers.
The affected product? A batch of cherry-flavored coffee sold under the Our Family brand.
What’s the Issue?
Turns out, this coffee was labeled as decaf but actually contains caffeine.
So if you’re trying to avoid caffeine for health reasons, this one could cause trouble.
According to the FDA, it falls under a Class II risk, meaning it can cause temporary or medically reversible health effects—but it’s not life-threatening.

- Type: Traverse City Cherry-Flavored Decaf Light Roast Ground Coffee
- Size: 12-ounce bags

Parent company Danone received reports of spoilage and texture issues. Even though they said it wasn’t a food safety problem, they still recalled the products “out of an abundance of caution.”
